Hello, I'm back! I hope you had a very Merry Christmakwanzakah :)
Time has flown by and the rest of my November & December has vanished! Busy times!
I'm anticipating major changes ahead.
Thanks for following along on this blog! I've missed your posts. I've consumed too many blogs in the past few months. Some blogs with lots of style, sincerity, soul and some without. It's become a bit monotonous (the blog churning of fashion events & PR brand pushing, that is!) and in turn so has mine. And that's the last thing I want my life (& blog!) to be.
Here's a quick recap:
I celebrated my big milestone birthday. My lovely friends at work cooked an all vege potluck lunch for me.
Vege pasta bake, Hell Pizza!, homecooked authentic Indian food, authentic Chinese stir fry and a savoury potato dish. So much good food! It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture that cheered me up even though I'm getting old :P
(*Small photo here as this is a very public forum and they may not want their picture all over the internet*)
We celebrated our 3rd annual overseas Thanksgiving dinner at Mike & Kel's place this year!
NOM NOM NOM, so many delicious vege dishes! We loved Eric's southern style cooking.
We celebrated the fabulous birthday celebrant and learned how to create oragami stars
work drinks
I was going to post my star, but it's really pathetic looking
Spontaneous road trip to the beach with Ryler!
I got to meet Seth Haapu. He performed a gig at work :) He's got an amazing voice!
Upper upper management dressed up like celebrities for our annual awards night.
Here's Tom Cruise & Hugh Grant!
This is the scenery of my homeward bound bus stop. It's mostly rain these days.

November Birthday Recap
Nearly one month later, I want to thank you all so much for your lovely birthday messages. It made my day. :)
I had a wonderful birthday! At midnight, Chris surprised me with chocolates and two CD's I wanted for some time now...the new Cut Off Your Hands and The Outsiders cds.
(He bought me my much coveted crochet dress from Forever New months ago.)
Later that night, Chris surprised me with dinner at our favourite Indian restaurant and he invited our good group of friends. I had no idea they were going to be there.
this is what I wore...
dress- F21
shoes- Warehouse
necklace- F21
trench coat- op shop'd at Paperbag Princess
I got so many amazing presents! And I wasn't even expecting any of this.
A style book by the costume designer of Mad Men! a beautiful brooch, American Mac n' Cheese, Body Shop musk, a flowery coinpurse, lip gloss, hair accessories, nail polish, etc.
LOL!
At the end of the night, I posed with New Zealand's once eligible bachelor now recently taken off the market, hunky Dan Carter. HAHAHA :)
I had such a great night catching up with everyone. I'm trying not to get too sentimental since this is a big birthday for me gratefully spent with some great friends...and another birthday spent a long way from home.
As a big birthday present to myself, we planned a trip to the South Island and explored Dunedin, the Otago countryside and Queenstown. It was surreal. I can't wait to share some photos with you.

Freedom Summer 2011/2012
This past week we've been having a blast showing our new friend Ryler (from NYC) around the city. We've had a handful of dinner nights. We took him to Mt. Eden, Mission Bay for some ice cream and Bastion Point on a glorious summer Saturday.
Since I'm the clumsiest person in the world with the combination of flat slippery shoes with rounded slippery steps...I fell pretty hard sliding down the steps at Mt. Eden! My tailbone is sore, and I'm hoping the pain will eventually go away. It's definitely gotten better each day. Damn ME!
Mt Eden! Where Chris proposed to me :)

Bastion Point
I have waited 7+ months for this weather to come!

Much Love (belated) Monday: December 5, 2011
Hi Hi Hi!
Sorry for the lack of updates around here. I'll be back I promise :)
This week I love these Texts From Bennett.
http://textsfrombennett.tumblr.com/
Kind of offensive but also a great laugh. I don't take any of this seriously.
I've also had a really nice week hanging out with new friends and old ones too. :) Freedom Summer 2011/2012!

Best of Rugby World Cup 2011 (part two)
I have a huge backlog of Rugby World Cup photos! It's now or never...
September 2011
I'm wearing a 1960s vintage dress from Ashley of Three Feathers Vintage
And a thrifted 1970s dress worn as a jacket!
These French men had the whole intersection happily LAUGHING as they cheerfully sang their national anthem, drunkenly bumping into each other. Yes, that's a 3-in-1 costume. Downtown was absolutely buzzing. Good times!
On 9/11 with my fellow countrymen
USA vs. Australia, Hayley has the most amazing Americana outfit ever!
This ascot polka dot vintage blouse was purchased from blogger/designer Keiko's Postlapsaria Shop back in 2005! SRSLY! She's my favourite blogger, and I've been following her since her livejournal days.
Adrian as Evel Knievel, the all-American badass daredevil!
Also, Adrian & Hayley just got engaged. Congrats to one of the sweetest couples out there. <3
Captain America & the Avengers! Adrian, Hayley, Gabby, Eric and me :)
Anthony, Chris & Dave
USA vs. Italy, I love how the guy in the front asked to be in our picture.
HELL YES, you can be in our photo! :)
