Swap Love

Hello! Well, it's crunch time, and our days are numbered here in Auckland. We're furiously cleaning out our flat and hoping this moving-around-the-world-with-three-pieces-of-luggages-thing all works out.

On Friday I held a clothing swap/dinner party at our place! It was so much fun! There were 13 girls who attended which was incredible. I have wanted fun girly nights for so long, and here it finally is.

I served Sangria, vege tomato eggplant casserole and pesto alfredo pasta. Kel made that white sangria in the middle :) I also had chips, veges and all kinds of dips! I even made a 7 hour playlist which I timed for this whole thing. I listened to it all the way to the end. Yep, I'm extremely organised *ahem, obessive compulsive* when it comes to a few things.

Our living room isn't that big, so it didn't take long for it to be crowded with pretty women and lots of clothes. Mike also came along because he rules like that!

I basically wanted to and tried get rid of mostly EVERYTHING I own, BUT I couldn't resist a few meant-for-me items! Like this beautiful cardigan that goes perfectly with all my vintage dresses. I wore the cardi to a wedding the next day.

I gave Vera this vintage blazer, and it went perfectly with her dress!

and then I was like... :P

I scored the cardigan above, two pairs of jeans, a "Be a tidy Kiwi" shirt, a mod inspired skirt, and a beautiful vintage-inspired dress. HAHA, Hayley tried to monitor me from gaining too many items.

Chris came home to a hurricane of clothing. But seriously, it was so fun and such a great time catching up with everyone before we move across the Pacific! I hope to have another party like this in Seattle one day.

The next day I went to SUCH a beautiful wedding. I'll write about that later!

  2. Thanks for coming V! We'll see you Saturday! That blazer was meant for you. :) Definitely recommend dry cleaning if possible. I think the dyes blended into the white when I hand washed it :(

  3. This looks like so much fun! I've never been to a big swap like this before, just swaps with my sister and friend Natasha. Oh, and I swapped with my friend Ani once. Good luck with the giant move!
